DESCRIPTION: As a Production Line Assembler 1, you will be trained to assemble, build production parts, install helicoils, and dowel pins on repetitive parts with simple to high complex parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Ability to communicate with production lead and supervisor
Follow instructions
Follow shop procedures including updates, signatures, stamps, counting quantities, labeling, work instructions, and detect non-conformance parts
Ensure a correct Traveler goes with all work orders
Aid other personnel as needed
Operate a variety of pneumatic and electric power tools
Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications
Follow blueprint or instructions to achieve required surface finishes such as lay patterns and sealing surfaces
Ensure company procedures and “Best Known Methods” are followed
Install parts into production assemblies
Report all material shortages to Production Supervisor
Verify conformity of finished parts to specifications and part drawings prior to hardware installation
Label and isolate non-conforming material
Perform preventative maintenance and other related duties
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma, GED, and/or college preferred
Two years production assembly or related experience
Ability to read and understand basic to complex assembly instructions
Basic math and counting skills
Knowledge of Shop safety practices and use of PPE
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language
Ability to learn new skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS WHILE PERFORMING THE JOB:
Use of hands to install components and build parts
Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor
Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities: close vision, depth perception
WORKING ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB:
At a minimum, eye protection and safety shoes are required PPE
