The 5* Merchant Hotel is a blend of Victorian grandeur and Art Deco inspired sleek modernity, situated in the heart of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter,. We are now recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor for our Great Room Restaurant.

The Great Room Restaurant are now recruiting for a Restaurant Supervisor.

Rate of pay is £12 per hour plus excellent service charge for all staff

A full time member of staff could expect to earn on average an additional £100 -£150 per week through service charge paid weekly through payroll

A sample Supervisor rota shift is shown below:

Monday 2pm to Finish “11.30pm”
Tuesday Rest day
Wednesday 7am – 3pm
Thursday 3pm – 11.30pm
Friday Rest day
Saturday 7am – 4pm
Sunday 7am – 3pm

A minimum of 1 year’s experience as a front waiter in a busy restaurant environment is essential.

The candidate should have strong leadership skills with the ability to train and develop a team. The ability to manage a team of employees on a shift basis and delegate effectively is desirable.

Some understanding of cash handling and stock control procedures would be beneficial to the successful applicant however, training will be provided.

The candidate should possess an innovative approach in order to further improve and build on existing restaurant standards.
