Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist clients with daily activities, fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support individuals in maintaining their daily routines and activities.
Help with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments if required.
Communicate effectively with clients and their families to understand their needs and preferences.
Document care provided and maintain accurate records as per care plans.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT systems relevant to healthcare documentation.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately.
A valid driving licence is an advantage for transporting clients.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes would be beneficial.
