FULL TIME

Neurodiversity Family Support Practitioner

In Kent we are proud to be at the forefront of integrated multi-agency work with neurodivergent children and their families. We are launching our new Neurodiversity pathway, this brings together experts from a range of fields to provide universal and targeted information, advice and guidance.
We are frequently told that early identification of neurodevelopmental differences and robust planning can significantly improve a child's outcomes. Parents and practitioners have often felt frustrated by the current complex system of support, assessment and intervention. Delivering a range of information, advice and guidance, you will be central to improving the way in which we support children, families and practitioners to navigate the many challenges and successes of being neurodivergent.

Maidstone is the first area in the county to be selected for the new pathway roll-out, following a successful pilot in Tunbridge Wells. In time it will be introduced in all mainstream schools in Kent and Medway.

Our Support Practitioners will:
Deliver training and resources to support a more inclusive and adaptive school environment that celebrates neurodiversity through use of a tool that enables identification of individual needs.
