Job Title- Support Worker- Night duty
Location- Bangor- BT20 4UR
Role Overview
Mayne House is a residential service in Bangor providing care and support to 9 service users with learning disability. The service provides 24 hour tailored care.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join the team. In this role, you will work closely with residents with learning disabilities, providing tailored support to help them achieve their goals and positive outcomes. You will be a key member of a dynamic team, delivering person-centered care and contributing to the overall well-being of the residents.
Hours
24 hours per week
2x night duties- 8pm-8am
Weekends and bank holidays included.
Pay
£11.63 per hour
Increase for overtime
Key Responsibilities
-Implement individualised support plans for residents.
-Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
-Encourage and support residents to participate in community activities and develop social skills.
-Monitor and record progress, ensuring accurate documentation of care provided and behavioural changes.
-Collaborate with the team, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
-Respond to challenging behaviours with empathy and effective intervention strategies.
-Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all residents.
Essential Criteria
- 1 year care experience
- Good Communication
- Knowledge of Learning disabilities
- Experience of challenging behaviour
