We are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and forward-thinking person and are excited to be recruiting a Support Worker to support HAWS within our service in Plymouth.
About the Role:
HAWS is a lady who loves a bit of banter and likes familiar sayings spoken to her. HAWS likes to be around her friends and neighbours and people she knows and is very sociable, but also likes time on her own and likes to do her own things too. HAWS likes lots of praise and has a slapstick humour and finds it hilarious if you trip up a step or bang your knee and hurt yourself. HAWS likes her cups of tea and coffee and likes to visit cafes, go out for lunch, go for walks, make use of her National Trust membership, go to her social clubs, bowling, cinema, theatre and likes her yearly panto outing. HAWS likes to make good use of her car and chooses to go out multiple times a day. HAWS maybe doing her shopping, going to clubs or activities and sometimes just likes to go out for a long drive in her car. HAWS lives in her own home and likes things to be done in certain ways. HAWS can do a lot around her home but may need encouragement and if she doesn’t want to do it, staff will need to do it instead. This will include cleaning, preparing meals, laundry and day to day running of her home. HAWS needs support with personal care, medication, finances and health appointments and with her epilepsy.
About the usual working pattern:
Week1
Tuesday 8am-4pm = 8hrs
Thursday 4-10pm = 6hrs
14hrs
Week 2
Monday 8am-4pm = 8hrs
Thursday 4-10pm = 6hrs
Saturday 8am-4pm = 8hr
Sunday 4-10pm = 6hrs
28hrs
TOTAL = 42hrs/ 21hrs a week contract
