Support Practitioner- Lochgilphead (Home Care Mobile Team)

Are you ready to be part of something meaningful? Discover an exciting opportunity for a rewarding career as a Support Practitioner in Carr Gomm’s Mobile Homecare service in Mid-Argyll. Join us in making a positive impact by supporting people in their own homes.
About Us:
Carr Gomm is a leading social care and community development charity. Our Mobile Homecare service in Mid-Argyll supports people recently discharged from hospital to regain their independence. We work closely with the NHS and local authority to prevent re-admission through tailored, short-term support in people’s homes.
The Role:
As a Support Practitioner (Mobile Homecare), you will be working in pairs supporting people with their daily routine. This will include meal preparation, medication administration, and personal care as well as other aspects of their daily life.
Who We Are Looking For:
We value caring individuals who align with our core values of Choice, Control, Openness & Honesty, Interdependence, Respect, Kindness and Compassion. No professional experience is necessary; your empathy and dedication make you a perfect fit. If you are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of others, we welcome you to join our team. A full driving license is preferred but not essential for this role.
Working with Carr Gomm:
“I went from cars sales to work in Social Care and it was the best move I ever made. Doing a job where you know you are making a difference to people’s lives everyday is very rewarding.” – Scott
Our Impact:
We take pride in supporting our community through impactful community projects like the Keep Warm appeal. During the energy crisis, we delivered Keep Warm Kits to help people in Argyll and Bute stay warm. Thank you so much for the lovely warm box which was delivered to me today. Very useful and very much appreciated a really lovely gesture from Carr Gomm. Thanks again” – Liz from Campbeltown.
