Stance Controller Edinburgh Bus Station
A vacancy has arisen for a Stance Controller based in Edinburgh Bus station.
Your main role will be to assist passengers when boarding or alighting buses and making sure passengers are on the correct services.
Checking reservation numbers and dealing with any issues that driver’s highlight. You will also liaise with Glasgow Control and keep them up to date with any delays or issues on the Network.
Recording information using the internal computer system.
Role Responsibilities:

• Record coach arrival and departure times on Arrivals & Departures (A&D) sheet
• Record passenger numbers, arrivals and departures, on the A & D sheet
• Take note of passengers with connections for onward services within the Scottish Citylink Network
• Be aware of local traffic conditions
• Regularly forward information to Control Office
• Monitor vehicle loading / bookings through Company software
• Deal with passenger enquiry’s regarding timetables, fares, connections, delays, seat availability.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading of luggage
• Applicants must be computer literate, flexible and good at problem solving.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Good Communication skills

Applicants must have excellent customer care skills and a positive and professional outlook. They should also have the ability to
work as part of a team and on their own initiative
Rotational shift patterns, 5 days over 7, working 40 hours per week.
Applicants must be fully flexible.
Operating Window - Monday – Sunday
£12.50ph
