The Studio

As a Senior Urban Designer, you’ll be part of our Urban Design Studio at Populous. Our Studio is a multi-disciplinary team, seamlessly integrated within the broader practice. We focus on master planning, urban design, large-scale architecture, placemaking, public realm design and landscape architecture.

The Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking senior architecture professionals with experience in large masterplan projects, particularly in the Middle East, at the Concept Master Plan (CMP) and Detailed Master Plan (DMP) stages.

As a senior member of the Urban Design Studio, you'll work closely with our architecture, landscape, and wider design teams in a dynamic, collaborative environment that fosters growth. This is a unique opportunity to expand your skills, advance your career, and emerge as a leader within the studio. In this role, you'll be expected to lead design teams, manage/present design work, and support client relationships.

Expected Skills and Experience

Possession of a professional degree in Architecture and/or Urban Design
Extensive experience in a professional design practice
Experience in leading Concept Masterplan (CMP) and Detailed Masterplan (DMP) stage of work
Middle East experience on master planning projects is essential
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in English
Proficiency in Rhino, Revit and Adobe products
