Job Title: Senior Manufacturing Logistics Planner Location: Samlesbury – on site – this role will be including nightshift working Salary: £47,683 + depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing:
Leading and managing a small team of logisticians in a challenging and fast paced environment, ensuring correct standards are met within the PP&L framework
Order book management and maintenance utilising the ERP system – including leading reviews and interactions with internal and external supply chain, managing supply chain performance, and always ensuring availability of sufficient material stock levels in line with the production plan
Support to the achieving and reviewing of key business performance metrics and the timely implementation of any actions resulting from the reviews in adherence with logistics governance principles and processes
Support and implement the developing principles of operational excellence and continuous improvement within your area
Team PDR target setting and performance management
Support any activity surrounding company health, safety and environment plans and take due responsibility for yourself and colleagues operating in your area
Essentials:
Working experience of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Infor LN/SAP or similar) & proficient in the use of IT (particularly proficient in the use of MS Excel & Power Point)
Confidence and the capability to work independently and lead team problem solving for the development of short- term and long-term solutions regarding day-to-day problems
Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively cross-functionally across all levels of the organisation
An understanding of Production Control and Logistics concepts, systems, and relevant business processes. This includes experience in a manufacturing/procurement/supply chain environment
Able to work night shifts if required- one of the vacancies is a nightshift position
Desirable:
Hold professional accreditation and qualification from a recognised Logistics/Supply Chain body, or be willing to work towards it e.g. APICS CPIM, CILT
Experience in leading, managing and developing small teams
