What you’ll be doing:
Assist the HR team by providing timely information and administrative support to improve the HR services offered to employees
Respond to queries via the HR inbox, telephone, and greet visitors to the HR department. This includes managing enquiries, offering initial advice, and directing individuals to the appropriate information or colleagues, as part of a customer-focused service for both internal and external clients
Take minutes during meetings, including disciplinary, investigation, and grievance hearings, ensuring that the notes are accurately transcribed, approved, and distributed promptly
Support the induction process by efficiently handling administration tasks and ensuring a supply of employer-branded materials
Organise and coordinate interim and exit interviews
Perform additional administrative duties to assist the HR function
Study towards your CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice, fully sponsored by the company
Your skills and experiences: Essential
GCSEs A*-C or 9-4 (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office with high attention to detail and accuracy
Committed to advancing your career by undertaking the CIPD Level 3 qualification through an external study programme
Good organisational skills with an ability to multitask and prioritise demands
Effective communicator both written and verbally

Previous office administration experience

You’ll be focused on learning and developing your career within HR (Human Resources), providing efficient day-to-day administrative support to all members of the HR team. This role is designed to give you a broad understanding of all aspects of HR and how they fit into the wider business. You will have the opportunity to study towards your CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice, fully sponsored by the company. You’ll begin this qualification within your first year, gaining valuable knowledge and expertise in people practice—ideal for starting a career in HR. Day release will be provided to attend the course, and you’ll be expected to dedicate some of your own time to studying for this part-time qualification. In addition to your studies, this trainee role will offer valuable exposure to our HR function, with opportunities for career progression within the department. You’ll develop both your HR and business acumen skills, while enhancing your practical vocational abilities. This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 3-4 days a week in the office.
