Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires keen observation skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols at all times.
Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to ensure the safety of premises.
Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.
Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify potential hazards or security breaches.
Implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary and assist in investigations as required.
Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while on duty.
Requirements
Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of first aid procedures is advantageous.
Familiarity with CCTV operation and surveillance techniques is desirable.
Strong observational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A valid SIA security licence is required
