Relief Security Officer - Cambridge
About the role
Securitas is expanding - we need you to join the Cambridge branch of our security team.
Relief Security Officer covering various areas of Cambridge where you will support a variety of clients ranging from multinational corporate; to globally recognised pharmaceuticals; international banks and many more.

Must have a current SIA & Driving licence
£14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Role 1
- Shift pattern: 07:00-19:00 & 19:00-07:00
- Must be available days, nights and weekends
- 42 hours per week
Role 2
- Up to 48 contracted hours per week available working days, nights or weekends.
- All of our shifts are put onto the portal so you can claim whichever shifts are suitable for you.
Role 3
- 36 hours per week
- Days, Nights & weekends
- 06:00-18:00 & 07:00-19:00 & 19:00-07:00
Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- You will play a vital security role in protecting our client's site, property and site assets whilst keeping both employees and visiting customers safe.
- You will also be required to carry out foot patrols both internally and externally.
- Provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
- Display an outstanding level of customer service.
- You will always remain alert and vigilant to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening activity.
- As a Security Officer, you will retain full control of any threatening behaviour until the arrival of another external agency.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed recording and reporting all faults, health and safety hazards.
Essential Skills
- Current and valid SIA Licence
- Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history
- Full flexibility to work days, nights and weekends
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus
- Computer literate
