Following the success and local demand for our services, we are delighted to announce that we will be opening a secondary school located in Newbury, West Berkshire, you will join us within Amegreen Education, which encompasses our Alternative Learning Farm provisions situated across rural West Berkshire and Oxfordshire. Across our network of Alternative learning provisions, Therapy Centre and Children’s homes, our dedicated and experienced school staff work in collaboration with specialist teams of professionals to enable every young person to explore and develop their own unique talents. We enable possibilities and opportunities through our variety of services along with the stability of a school placement.
The Role: We are recruiting a school cook to work within the kitchen of a newly refurbished school. You would be preparing meals and supporting the diets of children who have additional needs, such as Autism, ADHD, Trauma, and specific Learning difficulties. This role will involve working on with the Headteacher to plan and create meals for children with dietary and sensory requirements. You will be supported as well as have the chance of being enrolled in in many professional development training courses.
About you:
Ideally have experience working in school environment
Confident working in a busy kitchen
Experience in producing food of a high quality
A current level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen certificate
Worked in an environment with children with additional needs
