The People Hub Team provide support to 5 divisions on all things people related.
The People Assistant will be the first point of contact for people queries, providing advice and sign posting to the relevant HR expert within the team. You will provide administrative support to the team, which includes:
Managing the HR Inbox
Provide admin support to Trust recruitment authorisation processes
Processing maternity/paternity/shared parental leave forms
Managing the right to work process for existing employees, applying for Certificates of Sponsorship where required and ensuring we have right to work details on ESR for all relevant staff members
Running the fixed term contract report and notifying managers where contracts are due to expire
Taking notes at hearings and meetings
Ad hoc duties as and when required
You don't necessarily need to have HR experience or a HR qualification, but we do require excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanour and the ability to be flexible. You need to have office experience and the ability to work as a team player, as well as a willingness to learn about HR processes and policies.

We offer office and home working, with a requirement to be flexible as required and at spend at least 2 days in the office.
To act as the first point of contact for the People Hub Team on the telephone and in person, using initiative to take appropriate action within limits of own role and updating staff and / or forwarding calls and taking accurate messages for members of the HR team. To be tactful and confidential and demonstrate a positive and professional image for the department at all times.
To work closely with the People Business Partners, Deputy People Partners and People Advisors, to ensure that all audit requirements for the recruitment process are met, including Care Quality Commission (CQC) outcome 12 which monitors ‘Right to Work’ and pre-employment checks such as DBS and Professional Registration.
T o generate and send out documentation in response to the monthly workforce information reports, e.g. sending out Maternity/Paternity Leave letters to staff who have submitted their forms, liaising with Payroll as necessary. Conducting DBS (Disclosure Barring Service) and Right to Work in UK checks.
To respond in a timely manner to emails sent to the People Hub inbox and if appropriate, direct enquiries to the People Hub team. Follow up and take action as appropriate.
To ensure that where new recruitment or financial changes are requested that these are raised with the Divisional Management Team through appropriate ITR processes.
S upport the ITR (Intention To Recruit) and VCARP (Vacancy Control) process for the Trust.
