Our client, Lyco Group Ltd, are one of the UK’s leading lighting companies, which continues to thrive. Lyco work with many top brand hotel and leisure groups amongst other key accounts and has an excellent reputation for providing innovative products. Lyco has several channels to market which includes B2C and B2B, both online and offline. Lyco currently runs 6 websites and has exciting plans for future product expansion.
As a result of growth within the business, Lyco Direct are looking for a Junior Buyer to join the team, to support with the continued growth of the company.
About the role:
The successful candidate will be well organised and be able to evidence sound numerical and analytical skills, with a track record of meeting targets and working well under pressure.
In the role you would have influence on product selection, working with external suppliers and internal teams to bring your selected items to market. The role supports the buying team by having an active role in building and developing supplier relationships, alongside supporting the management of a wide range of decorative / commercial lighting products.
The role will be challenging but will also be rewarding with many opportunities to make your own personal contribution to the products we sell.
Working as part of Lyco Directs’ business buying team you will have the opportunity to:

Grow an existing supplier base.
Maintain and build relationships with existing suppliers.
Maintain and build relationships with new suppliers.
Analyse data to drive sales.
Influence product selection.
Challenge yourself to exceed targets.
Work in a fast past, deadline driven environment.

Essential skills/experience:

Buying experience
Experience in an online ecommerce or retail environment
Competent use of Excel
Excellent numerical, analytical and planning skills
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Desirable skills/experience:

Knowledge of decorative / commercial lighting products
Delivering content to various different audiences
Experience of working in a target drive environment
Ability to travel domestically and overseas
