Role: Advocate: Independent Advocacy Service To provide independent advocacy support to children and adults with a learning disability and/or mental health needs and their carers and parents throughout Northern Ireland including Family Childcare Court Arenas. What you need to know: Location: Northwest Ref: C/IA/B/2421 £14.12 per hour (plus Mileage) Casual – As and when required Requirements: Previous experience working in an advocacy role with children and adults living with a learning disability and/or mental ill health or within Family Childcare. Knowledge and understanding of the issues relating to children and adults living with a learning disability and/or mental ill health. Knowledge and understanding of the principles of advocacy. Knowledge of relevant legislation including Mental Capacity as it applies to Northern Ireland and/or the Children (Northern Ireland) Order 1995. Good communication skills both verbal and written.
