From your first day with us you will be part of a policing family making a real difference.
It is our mission to identify and protect vulnerable people, prevent and respond to harm and keep people safe.
The Independent Advisory Group represent a diverse range of communities across the city of Brighton and Hove who meet on a regular basis with local Police Command. The aim of the IAG members is to bridge the gap and serve as a key link between the police and the public by providing suggestions on ways to improve their service delivery to all. We are looking for members of the community in Brighton and Hove to become part of the Independent Advisory Group, working with Police, to broaden the perspective of the current group and enhance the community voice in policing decision-making. Alongside other IAG members, you will support the forum by giving feedback on issues and concerns to the Chair and Vice Chair of these meetings. This will involve working as part of a team with Sussex Police and partners to query, advise and comment on policing as well as city issues and challenges. The aim is to find workable solutions, identify how Police can deliver the best service to communities and improve community trust and confidence in policing.
