Job Advert Description
Force IT Trainer
We have 2 posts for a Force IT Trainer, Full time, Part time and Job share will be considered.
To provide appropriate staff with specialist ICT training and development to fulfil their respective roles and any future training that may become the responsibility of Training Learning and Development. This will be achieved by using a variety of recognised and effective delivery methods.
Providing training and development to known national guidelines in any area of the Force in addition to any other training that may be required from time to time.
MINIMUM CRITERIA FOR THE ROLE:
The role requires applicants who can demonstrate (with evidence) skills in the following areas:
  • Possess a Cert. Ed or equivalent qualification or a Level 4 Learning & Development Qualification (TDP)(Police Equivalent).
  • Evidence of training and development over the past 2 years.
  • The ability to travel across the Force area is required. Possession of a full driving licence may therefore assist with this.
  • Thorough knowledge and proven ability of Microsoft applications including the use of analytical skills and problem solving experience with the ability to apply creativity and innovation in applying solutions for the benefit of candidates.
  • Have a good understanding of the implications of emerging developments within the scope of the ICT Services and the wider implications and potential business benefits for the Force.
  • Proven experience of working in a training delivery role including experience of training design & delivery, briefing and presentation/trainer skills.
  • Knowledge of the Initial Police Learning and Development Programme.
