Job Advert Description
Please note for Welsh speaking candidates the initial national test is completed in English. Internal Force processes including force assessment centre and interview can be conducted in Welsh. To support candidates it is suggested that you change Language to Welsh on the Jobs Posting Board.
Role Overview
Force Contact & Control Operators are highly trained and skilled, they deal with all emergency calls received through 999 and all non-emergency calls received via 101 and the Switchboard. In addition to recording incidents and giving advice, the operators are also responsible for the dispatch and control of police resources, making sure the right officers are in the right place at the right time. We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious applicants with a positive approach and good telephone manner with people and would encourage potential applicants to apply for the ride along scheme to gain insight into the role.
We are proactively recruiting for Welsh Language speakers in order to support the organisation in meeting demand from the public and compliance with Welsh Language Standards.
