Job Purpose

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting daily farming operations, ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the farm. This position involves a variety of tasks, ranging from animal feeding and livestock care to general maintenance and the operation of tractors and telehandlers.

Hours of Work

The successful candidate will need to be flexible with hours of work due to the farm demands, you will work an average of 20 hours per week and the hours/days will vary. The farms Calving season runs from March to May where hours are likely to reach 40 hours per week.

What it takes

You do not need experience as full training will be provided, however the following is essential:

Physical fitness and the ability to perform tasks that may require lifting and prolonged periods of outdoor work,
Strong work ethic, reliability and a positive attitude,
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The following criteria is desirable:

Previous work experience in farming or a related field
Basic understanding of agricultural practices and equipment operation
previous experience with calving cows and similar farming processes
ability to operate farming machinery - eg. telehandlers and tractors
