Fairview School, Perth
Fairview School is located on the Perth Academy / Viewlands Primary School campus and is the Authority’s school for children and young people with severe and complex additional support needs aged 3-18.
We seek an experienced and enthusiastic pupil support assistant with experience of supporting children and young people with additional support needs to work at this outstanding school.
Your role will involve supporting individuals and small groups of children and young people to develop their skills for life, work and learning.
You will be supporting pupils to be the best they can be across a range of contexts for learning and preparing them for life after school.
Time will be spent outdoors and in the community including swimming.
We are looking for someone able to start as soon as possible.
The Individual
Excellent communication and team working skills are essential for this role, along with the ability to use your initiative and be flexible and reactive to pupils needs.
Working with pupils with severe and complex learning needs can be incredibly rewarding but can be very busy so resilience to cope with a fast-paced and changeable and varied working day is essential.
