Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations, with a keen understanding of food safety standards. This role is essential in ensuring that our restaurant delivers high-quality meals to our customers while maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredients.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation within a kitchen or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
