Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of food safety and culinary techniques, with a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times.
Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients as required.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when necessary.
Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen is preferred but not essential.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable.
Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and culinary skills will be advantageous.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
