We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our existing team as a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist. The post is funded for 37.5 hours per week and is a permanent position. The post holder will support the provision of psychological assessment and intervention within inpatient and community settings. The post holder would be expected to travel to various mental health facilities in Gwent as part of their role.

A degree in psychology is an essential requirement of this position and applicants will be required to demonstrate that they have a good honours degree in psychology (first or second class with eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society) to be shortlisted. Further, healthcare experience in the NHS (or comparable private service) is an essential criterion to be shortlisted.
The adult psychology service provides a range of evidenced based psychological therapies within the geographical area of Gwent, South Wales. The main duties of this role include provision of psychological assessment and intervention to deliver assessment, group therapy and multi-disciplinary liaison within adult mental health services.
