Scrub Nurse

Northwest Clinic in Dubai is looking for an experienced and dedicated Scrub Nurse to join our operating theatre team. As a Scrub Nurse, you will play an integral part in surgical processes and ensure a safe and smooth surgical procedure. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively in high-pressure situations.
Job roles and Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the circulator nurse to prepare the operating room and keep it sterile.
  • Preparing the necessary equipment for the operation
  • Communicating with surgeons throughout the procedure to ensure a successful operation
  • Considering potential complications and creating a plan of action for the team lifesaving situations.
  • Washing hands and arms with surgical soap before and after surgical procedures.
  • Remaining on call to take part in emergency surgery.
  • Performing initial counts of the sponges, instruments and needles.
  • Helping with dressings.
  • Monitoring patients as they stabilize from surgery.
Job qualifications and requirements
  • Must have a valid DHA license.
  • Proven experience as a scrub nurse or similar role in a surgical or medical setting.
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and operating room procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle equipment and supplies safely.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
