Job Title: Factory Steel Supervisor Job Summary: The Factory Steel Supervisor oversees and coordinates the daily operations of steel production lines, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards are met. This role involves managing a team of workers, monitoring production processes, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervision and Leadership: Lead a team of steelworkers, machine operators, and technicians. Assign tasks and set production goals to meet daily/weekly targets. Train, coach, and motivate employees to ensure optimal performance. 2. Production Management: Oversee steel manufacturing processes, including cutting, welding, forging, or finishing. Ensure that production schedules are followed and deadlines are met. Monitor output quality and adjust operations to maintain product standards. 3. Safety and Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations in line with OSHA or local regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks. Ensure the proper use of safety gear and equipment by all workers. 4. Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate routine maintenance and repairs of steel production equipment. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with machinery to avoid downtime. 5. Quality Control: Ensure that finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Work closely with the quality control department to address defects or inefficiencies. 6. Inventory and Supply Management: Monitor raw material usage and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure adequate supplies. Track inventory levels of finished goods and materials. 7. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, shift reports, and maintenance logs. Report on production metrics such as efficiency, output, and downtime. 8. Collaboration: Work closely with other supervisors, managers, and departments to improve production processes and efficiency. Communicate with upper management regarding production updates, challenges, and successes. Qualifications: 1. Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in steel manufacturing or a related industry. Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. 2. Education High school diploma or GED required; a technical degree or certificate in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred. 3. Skills: Knowledge in AUTOCAD/ PRODUCTION DRAWINGS is Mandatory. Key Attributes: Strong communicator with the ability to work well with different teams. With good knowledge in steel structures, architectural & related civil work including Fitout metal/Glass works.
