About the team We are currently seeking highly motivated candidate to join our Europe Law Team as Legal Intern to support the team in daily activities. The objective of the Europe Law Team is to provide first-class legal services to the Company’s business across markets in the Europe Region, especially identify legal and compliance risks and provide management with legal guidance on strategic directions in preparation for regulatory changes. Enrolled University student (Bachelor or Master) at the time of the internship
Currently pursuing a degree in Law, with main focus on International/EU/Business Law
Solid understanding and knowledge of European Union Law
Previous professional experience in the field of Law (e.g. internship or part-time position) is an advantage
Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point)
Customer-oriented, proactive, autonomous and with strong attention to detail
Well-organized and capable of dealing with a variety of assignments and deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills
Proficient in English.
Roles & Objectives You will be supporting the Europe law team, in particular, by:
Conduct legal research on European Union laws and international treaties, particularly focusing on the Tobacco Products Directive, Tobacco Advertising Directive and other related regulations.
Engage in ongoing work related to the upcoming revision of tobacco products regulations, including legal research on existing laws, better regulation principles, EU legislative processes, international tobacco-related treaties.
Assist in providing regulatory advice and preparing documentation for new product launches and new commercial practices under existing and upcoming EU laws.
Monitor and report on developments in EU law and policies, assessing their potential impact on the company.
Draft legal assessments of legislative proposals.
Draft policy papers and other written materials that reflect the interests of the tobacco products sector.
Collect background documents, monitor relevant websites, and produce information materials to support the legal team.
Contribute to internal knowledge with presentations on legal and regulatory developments.
Assist in the management and organization of internal working groups, conferences, and other events.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure legal compliance and support cross-functional projects.
