We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our dynamic global Cybersecurity team. The Intern will support primarily the GRC Manager but will also contribute to the rest of the team, more technical, activities. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in information security policies, risk management, and compliance within the global operations of a public company. We will leverage best practices, industry frameworks, and dedicated software to translate theory into practical experience. You will also play a role in the Data Protection Program, collaborating with and supporting other business units on this important initiative. Throughout the internship, you'll gain exposure to various aspects of the cybersecurity function, understanding how the entire cyber team operates, while contributing to cross-team activities based on your technical knowledge and experience. You’ll be part of a young and dynamic team, actively helping to strengthen GUESS’ cybersecurity posture.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the identification, assessment, and management of cybersecurity risks
Support the development and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and guidelines
Use international standards, frameworks and regulations (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR) to improve security and maintain compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data for risk assessments and compliance checks
Participate in the review and documentation of security policies, controls and practices
Support the team in managing third-party vendor security assessments and compliance reporting
Assist with the preparation of cybersecurity training and awareness materials for the organization
Research emerging cybersecurity issues, regulations, and best practices
Contribute to the creation of KPI reports and dashboards for senior management regarding cybersecurity activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is a minimum requirement
Education in Cybersecurity, ICT, Law, or equivalent relevant experience in these fields is preferred
Prior experience in cybersecurity, risk management, or compliance, gained through coursework, internships, projects, or similar practical engagements is highly preferred
Strong interest in cybersecurity, with a genuine passion and a desire to develop a career in this area
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
