Health and Safety Manager (Korean Gas Safety Officer - Mandatory Role)

Key responsibilities of position (Job Description)

It is mandatory we employ a dedicated KGS Safety Officer if we are to manufacture high pressure product for use in the Republic of Korea. This Safety Officer shall take no other duties, other than those related to safety.
In accordance with the law, maintain the safety of manufacturing facilities and work processes at establishments:
- Manufacturing process management
- Enforcement of safety management regulations in accordance with Article 11 of the High-pressure management Law and preservation of records
- Notification of accidents
- Directing, as necessary, for the safety management of workers in the office and quality control of production products
- Other risk prevention measures
Accidents and quality defects arising from the negligence of the safety officer specified in the High-pressure management law and this regulation are the responsibility of the safety officer.

- Resource advisor -sustainability and circularity reports
- Participating in H&S networks
Cor Hex activities
- Participation on EH&S committee
- Internal safety audits.
- Accident and incident investigation and reporting
- Near miss, walk & talk and Safety Grading activities.
- Managing review and revision of DI.
- Reporting, Monitoring, measuring and analysis of
- Nonconformances
- Risk assessment and COSHH activities.
- Legal compliance
- Improvement initiatives
Safety related data to BIM, Operations Plan, Management Review and other recipients defined by senior management. Sustainability and circularity

Requirements / Qualification

Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety (OH&S), industrial engineering, or a related discipline.
Certification in Korean Gas Safety is MUST and others with safety-related programs such as the Korean Occupational Safety and Health Act or equivalent.
3-5+ years of practical experience in OH&S management, preferably in a high-risk industry or construction environment.
Familiarity with Korean and International safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Ability to lead and manage EHS committee , ensuring effective communication, coordination, and supervision.
Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines, at various levels, from shop floor to senior management, and cross-culturally.
