What will you do
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the on-site installation, servicing, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Your main duties will include:
Responsibilities and tasks include:
- Conducting on-site installations of complex equipment, ensuring proper working order through testing procedures.
- Performing scheduled planned maintenance visits to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Providing support to customers and other field service personnel in resolving technical issues and conducting necessary repairs.
- Cultivating positive relationships with customers, system users, and company personnel.
- Traveling, sometimes on short notice, to customer sites to address problems or support field service personnel.
- Completing and submitting field service reports.
- Delivering training to customers and users on system maintenance.
- Providing feedback to product quality teams.
- Contributing to the development of various reports, including the identification and isolation of unique system problems.
- Acting as a subject expert and resource for training.
Education
To thrive in this role, you typically need a university degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience in electronic system problem solving.
Experience
Previous experience in maintaining and servicing ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems would be helpful in this position.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
To excel in this role, you should possess the following:
- Ability to effectively deal with customers and provide exceptional service.
- Fluency in both Korean and English languages.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven capability in efficiently addressing challenges within complex systems and subsystems, with a focus on component-level problem-solving.
- Proficiency in MS DOS and Windows software environments.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics.
