GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Direct report to the Workshop Foreman. This position is responsible for Technical hands-on assistance and Support, including but not limited to maintenance, services, repairs, and inspections as per application.
The primary focus is Technical Assistance to the customer network.
KPIs:
KPI 1 - Job Card Administration
● Accountable for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of job cards afforded to you.
● Ensure Parts identification for any additional repairs is done accurately and cost-effectively.
● Diagnose errors and technical problems to determine proper solutions to produce timely and detailed service reports.
KPI 2 - Management of Manitou resources
● You are accountable and responsible for the tidiness and upkeep of your allocated work area.
● You are accountable for the Manitou Tools allocated to you and report on breakages and missing tools.
● It will be expected of each member to hand in their overtime and expense claims promptly as prescribed by the Finance department. The claim document should be complete with all supporting documents attached.
KPI 3 – Customer Satisfaction
● Manage all service, repair, and maintenance work as required per application.
● Manage jobs to enhance the appearance of customer machines by going the extra mile.
KPI 4 – Reporting
● You are accountable and responsible for reporting back on damages and defects in your work area and tools.
● You are accountable for additional work to be done after the site quality inspection was conducted.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES NOT REFLECTED IN KPI’s:
● Collaborate with various departments within MSA and share information across the organization to build positive relationships with customers and coworkers.
● To carry out any reasonable work request given by management.
● To carry out all tasks given by environmental, health, and safety guidelines provided by the company.
● Management may request and expect the member to work overtime if the need arises (all overtime will be compensated for according to company overtime policy).
● It will be expected of each member to utilize company property and vehicles in accordance to company policies and adhere to National legislation when driving on national roads.
● Promote a Health and Safety culture within the Workshop Department.
EDUCATION:
● Matric (Gr 12)
● Red Seal Qualified Diesel Technician or equivalent.
● Excellent Product Knowledge.
● Operator Competency on all Manitou-related equipment and machines.
EXPERIENCE:
● At least 4 years experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical works on Material Handling Equipment.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONNECTIONS:
● Works in partnership with almost all departments of the Headquarters to ensure close alignment.
● Represents the company as appropriate in its relationships with major customers, suppliers, competitors, government agencies, professional societies, and similar groups.
LOCATION & EXPECTED TRAVEL:
● This position is based in Camel Road Industrial, Kathu, Northern Cape, South Africa
● Travel internationally, as per intermittent requirements.
