Senior Accounts Clerk

Job Title: Senior Accounts Clerk based in a large FMCG and logistics company based in Phoenix Industrial Park
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Senior Accounts Clerk to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial administration, with excellent analytical skills and the ability to handle a variety of financial tasks with accuracy. Knowledge of the cement and hardware industry would be a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and monthly closing reports.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate funds for operational needs.
  • Work closely with management to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Oversee the payroll process and ensure timely submission of employee payments.
  • Assist in tax preparations and submissions.
  • Support in the implementation of new accounting systems and procedures as needed.
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Clerk or similar role, with at least 3-5 years in a senior capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the cement and hardware industry is an advantage.
Qualifications:
  • A degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field.
