Boilermaker
A leading company in the logistics and industrial sector, is looking for a skilled and qualified Boilermaker to join our Newcastle team. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary qualifications and experience to perform a wide range of fabrication, assembly, and welding tasks, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in all operations.
Duties :
- Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and other heavy metal structures.
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to fabricate and install components as required.
- Perform welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding, to ensure the structural integrity of materials and components.
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boilers and other equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing structures or systems and implement repairs as needed.
- Use gas torches, saws, and other cutting tools to shape and prepare materials for assembly and welding.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and local regulations related to boilermaking and welding.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
- Identify any deficiencies and make the necessary corrections.
- Work closely with other team members, including welders, engineers, and maintenance staff, to complete projects efficiently.
- Report to supervisors on job progress and any issues encountered during work.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Boilermaker with relevant trade qualifications.
- Red Seal Certification is required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a Boilermaker,
- Must have mining experience
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, and assembly of heavy metal structures.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
