Job Summary
To lead and manage the marketing team, oversee all marketing activities, and integrate Geographic Information Systems (GIS) into marketing strategies to enhance decision-making and business growth. This role involves managing and supervising all marketers and ensuring the alignment of marketing efforts with the overall strategic goals of the Trade and Mechanisation division.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Marketing Strategy Development
Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for the Trade and Mechanisation division, ensuring alignment with business objectives
2. Team Leadership and Management
Lead, mentor, and oversee the activities of the marketing team, ensuring goals and targets are met. Provide guidance and support to marketers in different regions
3. GIS Integration
Utilise GIS technology to analyse market trends, customer demographics, and geographic data to optimise marketing strategies and resource allocation
4. Market Research and Analysis
Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive landscape, and trends. Use data from GIS systems to make informed decisions and tailor marketing campaigns
5. Campaign Development and Management
Oversee the planning, execution, and measurement of all marketing campaigns, including traditional and digital marketing initiatives, to promote the products and services of the Trade and Mechanisation division
6. Brand Management
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and maintain brand standards in all materials
7. Collaboration and Coordination
Work closely with sales, product development, and operational teams to align marketing activities with broader company goals and to support the Trade and Mechanisation business units
8. Budget Management
Manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal use of resources and tracking return on investment (ROI) for all marketing activities
9. Digital Marketing
Lead digital marketing efforts, including social media, website management, email marketing, and online advertising
10. Reporting and Metrics
Develop performance metrics and report on the success of marketing campaigns, including insights from GIS data and other market analytics
11. Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and industry partners, to promote the division’s offerings and strengthen relationship
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field
A combination of marketing experience and knowledge in GIS technology (advantageous)
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a marketing role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity
Experience with GIS software and tools (e.g., Arc GIS, QGIS) is essential
Strong leadership and people management skills
Knowledge of GIS applications for business and marketing purposes
Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills
Strong communication and presentation abilities
Proficiency in digital marketing and understanding of online marketing channels
Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and departments
