Luxury Lodge Manager | Northern KZN
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lodge Manager to take over the reins at a well-regarded lodge. This exciting live-in position offers a unique opportunity to lead a dedicated team and ensure exceptional guest experiences in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Lead daily morning meetings, manage day sheets, and oversee all administrative tasks.
- Stock and Budget Management: Handle orders, stock control, budgeting, and month-end reporting.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs to ensure smooth operations.
- Staff Training: Provide on-the-job training, manage shift and leave schedules, and foster a positive work environment.
- Reservations and Guest Relations: Manage reservations (experience with Nightsbridge a bonus), handle guest check-ins and check-outs, and maintain excellent guest relations.
- Social Media and Marketing: Drive the lodge's online presence and marketing efforts.
- Board Reporting: Report to the board of directors at monthly meetings, take minutes, and ensure all board-related tasks are completed.
- Menu Planning and Maintenance: Plan menus and oversee basic maintenance tasks as needed.
- Education: Matric is essential; a Diploma in Hospitality or Tourism is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in lodge management with strong administrative and operational skills.

Skills:
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in administrative tasks, budgeting, and stock control.
- Strong leadership and staff training skills.
- Experience with reservation systems (Nightsbridge is advantageous).
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of social media and marketing strategies.
- Basic maintenance knowledge is a plus.
- Accommodation on-site.
- Meals provided during duty.
