Hotel Reservations Manager - Cape Town
Large Hotel in Cape Town is currently recruiting for a Hotel Reservations Manager.
Responsible for:
Responsible for:
- Maximize sales and marketing opportunities within the hotel’s policies, procedures and standards.
- Ensure excellent customer service levels are maintained when processing reservations and guest requests.
- Access and interpret human resource policies and legislative requirements for efficient implementation.
- Facilitate effective interdepartmental co-operation to ensure guests’ expectations are anticipated and exceeded.
- Manage room inventory with diligent adherence to checklists and systems.
- Maintain the data integrity of the property management system with respect to guest profiles, history, rates,
- Manage the revenue management system with strict adherence to the hotel’s standards and audit preparation requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients.
- Maximize on revenue opportunities and drive the reservations team to exceed budget.
- Work as part of a team or individually to deliver high quality standards.
- Matric (NQF 4)
- Good numeracy, verbal and written English skills (NQF 4)
- Hotel / tourism school diploma or degree; at least three years’ experience in a similar position and extensive knowledge of systems
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in this role
- Experience in large city hotels / hotel.
- Flexible regarding working hours
- Computer literate
- Great ability to deal with both staff and guest issues.
- Previous experience of managing a team
- Must experience with both Individual and Group bookings.
