Maintenance Manager - 4* Hotel - Graskop
Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager for a 4-star hotel in Graskop, Mpumalanga. This property has 35 rooms, with an additional 13 rooms opening later this year. The hotel features two restaurants, a function marquee, and a conference centre. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, administration, project management, and general building maintenance skills within the hospitality industry.

- General maintenance and repairs to all buildings
- Upkeep and repairs of all public areas
- Maintenance on electrical, plumbing, appliances, tools, and equipment
- Plan, propose, and manage all projects, including collaboration with outside contractors
- Ensure quality control of all maintenance and projects
- Prepare and submit annual and ad hoc budgets for operations and projects
- Negotiate favorable wholesale prices with suppliers
- Fleet management of company vehicles
- Effective staff management within the guidelines of company policies and legislative requirements
- Exceptional report writing skills; weekly and monthly reports required
- Control and manage stock levels and reports
- Oversee gardens and gardening team, planning and maintaining seasonal gardening projects and plans
- Matric is a minimum requirement
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership, administration, and project management skills
- General building maintenance skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Project management experience is essential
- Valid RSA ID
- Valid driver’s license
- R16,000 per month
- 5% provident fund deduction (compulsory membership)
- Meals provided when on duty
- Live-out position only
