Our Company wishes to offer employment opportunities at Black Mountain Mine located in Aggeneys, Northern Cape Province. The skill sets for employment as follows:
We are looking for a dynamic and vibrant individual with the required qualifications to fill a Boltec Operator position at Black Mountain Mine Operations.
The following requirements are needed to fill the position, but not limited to :
REQUIREMENTS:
· Matric / Grade 12
· Operators Certificate ( Epiroc Boltec S / Mclean bolter / Sandvik DS / Omnia 975 )
· Medically fit / Valid medical certificate
· Valid Code 8 drivers license
· Valid VTS Dover test will be advantageous
EXPERIENCE:
· 5 years’ experience in the Underground Mining Trackless Operations.
· At least 2 years experience in installation of primary support .
· At least 2 years on a Roof Bolter Machine.
*Mclean bolter certificate and experience will be advantageous !!!!
In this role you will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
To drill holes for the purpose of installation of primary support with a TMM
Machine within EMS MINING .
· Attend a daily Safety meeting before proceeding to the work area.
· Wear the required PPE as indicated.
· Ensure adherence to safety standards.
· Conform to MHSA guidelines by continuously working according to the stipulated Mine applicable safe work procedures for all tasks and any safe work instruction given by the Shift Supervisor.
· Adhere to all Environmental Policies and Procedures.
· Report any unsafe conditions or unsafe acts observed.
· Ensure to report for duty on time, and time management.
· Attend a shift change over meeting to get relevant information required for effective operation.
· Follow miner’s instructions regarding duties for that shift.
· Complete a pre-start checklist every day before drilling commences.
· Ensure compliance to service schedule and intervals before operations.
· Do Risk Assessment before drilling commences.
· Ensure a Safe Declaration of Work Area is done and sign it before commencing drill operations.
· Ensure the area to be supported is marked off before commencing drilling operations.
· Ensure sufficient quantity of GETs and support material required is available at area to be supported .
· Ensure that the area to be supported is cleared of obstructions before starting to drill.
· Drill support holes within set support standards as per procedure.
· Make sure that holes are drilled to the required depth and direction.
· Ensure all support holes are fully grouted and bolts tensioned.
