Role Purpose
The Actuarial Analyst will be using their skills to assist the business with provider profiling and reporting, provider network considerations, and commercial provider negotiations.
Requirements
- Degree in Actuarial Science (preferred) or a degree in Data Science.
- Partial progress in actuarial exams.
- 1-2 years corporate experience will be valuable.
- Proficient in standard business packages –; e.g. Excel (preferred), SQL, VBA.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of provider network models, profiling and overall access monitoring and evaluation of network performance in line with client medical schemes’ specific risk profile.
- Develop, review, and execute provider models , within the agreed upon service level agreement, in alignment with established guidelines and given compliance parameters.
- Collaborate with the provider team to contribute insights and recommendations for continuous improvement of our network strategy and pricing structures.
- Monitor market trends and competitor design.
- Foster collaborative relationships within Momentum Health Solutions to enhance synergy and maximise collective success.
- Maintain detailed records, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for future reference.
- Generate regular Monitoring and Evaluation reports on impact of discounted or negotiated rates.
- Improving efficiency in the team by continual improvement of models and reports, using VBA, cubes and data visualisation tools.
- Participate and contribute to a culture which builds rewarding relationships, facilitates feedback and provides exceptional client service
- Collaborate and build relationships with product development and segment teams across Momentum Health Solutions
- Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility
