Role Overview The Account Manager manages assigned projects and/or clients which include relationship, financial and reputational management of the account(s); delivering on our values, vision and performance requirements. The role is responsible for overall account administration, working closely with internal teams, inspiring and driving the client portfolio to provide excellent service and manage the delivery of an exceptional creative product that meets and exceeds brand expectations. Duties Client Management:
Assumes responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the account(s) – operationally, creatively and financially and for inspiring the highest standards and ensuring quality agency output
Has a good understanding of the clients business and of the key broader factors, challenges and trends shaping their market and categories, leveraging these insights and knowledge to engage in broader business dialogues
Writing of inspiring and accurate briefs / debriefs and displaying a keen interest in the conceptualising of the work and development of campaigns
Actively manages project / job timelines, client queries, expectations, requirements and timeously red-flags any challenges of delivery by monitoring progress on work outputs
Builds strong and enduring relationships with clients and making a positive impact on our business and theirs
Driving a culture of creativity and making an impact within the agency
Ensure that contact, status reports, marketing communication etc are compiled and distributed timeously
Assisting seniors on the portfolio with assigned tasks and deliverables
Finance:
Working understanding of client contract/retainer / in-scope / out-of-scope / WIP / forecasting of client billing/income budgets
Assists with timeous and accurate billing processes, ensuring that preparation and presentation of accounts are executed, and invoices are checked against quotes and budgets and all CE’s / POs are billed timeously and before jobs are closed
Contributes to good financial management, growing projects, managing scope creep and assisting with meeting overall profit margins and targets
Ensures timesheets are always up-to-date and accurate
Operations:
Builds respect and loyal commitment of team members, other departments and the agency as a whole

Report to line manager on client health, financials, operational challenges and opportunities

Qualifications & Experience
Qualification in relevant field
Must have a minimum of 3 years working experience in the marketing, advertising, digital or communications industry
Must be an adrenaline junkie with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Must possess a good understanding and experience in advertising, strategy and production processes
Has a working knowledge of the ASA Advertising Code and Consumer Protection Act
