Research Fellow (Computational Atom Probe Tomography)
NTU MSE is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join us as a Research Fellow to facilitate the research program in advanced microscopy funded by Singapore's National Research Foundation and led by Nanyang Assistant Professor Yi-Sheng (Eason) Chen, the PI and a new MSE faculty member.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the delivery of project goals
Conduct high-quality research and disseminate outcomes in peer-reviewed journals and academic conferences
Participate in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate researchers
Collaborate with local/overseas research groups
Establish one or more independent research programmes under the guidance of PI and other senior mentors
Develop competitive funding proposals in collaboration with PI and other senior colleagues
Engage in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation
Contribute to the development of international and local research communities
Support the operation of PI's research group, including recuitment and external engagement
Engage in developing and mainting a safe and inclusive work environment
Job Requirements:
Ph D in Materials Science or fields relating to computational materials science
Good knowledge and experience in atom probe tomography and the related data processing
Good skills in programming, including Python, C/C++, and UNIX/Linux operating systems
Strong background in code development and machine learning
Good skills in working independently and communicating as a part of a team
Good attitude in relevant training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
