The Veterinary Science Programmes team under the Community Animal Management Division of AVS develops policies and programmes for community animal management and animal welfare, carries out research to support policy making and operations, and engages stakeholders on these policies and programmes.
[What you will be working on]
Programme and event planning and organisation related to sterilisation of cats
Engagement, coordination and communication with partners, stakeholders and members of the public on sterilisation programmes and related events
Data collection, entry and analytics
Administrative duties including procurement of services and equipment, processing of applications, and secretariat support
Sorting and verification of financial reimbursements
Responding to public feedback related to policies and programmes
Any other duties as required to ensure daily function of the Branch
[What we are looking for]
Qualifications in Biology, Life Sciences, Zoology preferred
Strong engagement and communication skills
Highly motivated individual, conscientious and able to work both independently and across teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Veterinary technician experience and comfortable being in close proximity with animals will be advantageous, as you will be involved in planning and running of pet cat sterilisation events.
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and digital media editing tools preferred.
