Job Title: HR Business Partner - West Gulf Cluster Location: Saudi Arabia, Riyadh
About the role: The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The role requires a strong understanding of the business and operational environment in Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and practices.
How you will contribute: Accountabilities Strategic HR Partnership:
Serve as the primary point of contact for managers and employees for HR-related issues.
Partner with business leaders to understand business strategy and translate it into HR initiatives.
Provide strategic HR advice to improve workforce productivity, engagement, and retention.
Talent Management & Development:
Assist in talent identification, acquisition, and succession planning processes.
Work with managers to ensure effective onboarding, performance management, and professional development.
Develop and implement leadership development programs to grow internal talent.
Employee Relations:
Act as a trusted advisor for resolving employee issues, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and consistent manner.
Promote a positive organizational culture by fostering an open, collaborative environment.
Ensure compliance with Saudi labor laws, addressing issues such as employee contracts, termination, and disciplinary action.
Performance Management:
Guide managers through the performance management process, providing tools for effective feedback and coaching.
Identify training and development needs based on performance outcomes and design relevant learning interventions.
Assist in the management of underperformance and the implementation of improvement plans.
HR Policies & Compliance:
Ensure HR policies are up-to-date and aligned with Saudi labor laws and regulations.
Promote understanding of HR policies and procedures throughout the organization.
Lead initiatives to enhance workplace safety, diversity, and compliance with legal requirements.
Compensation & Benefits:
Assist in developing competitive compensation and benefits strategies that align with market standards.
Manage compensation and benefits reviews to ensure they meet company and employee expectations.
Monitor internal equity and external competitiveness of the total compensation structure.
Change Management & Organizational Development:
Support the organization in managing transitions and changes.
Conduct organizational assessments and recommend changes that improve organizational effectiveness.
Lead and support initiatives that promote employee engagement and well-being.
What you bring to Takeda:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD) is preferred.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in an HR Business Partner role.
Strong understanding of Saudi labor law and regulations.
Proven ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high level of emotional intelligence.
Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), talent management, and performance evaluation tools.
Proficiency in both English and Arabic.
