We are currently seeking for a Safety Officer for a prestigious hospitality project located in Al Ula.
Your new role, what's involved?
- Implement and enforce excavation safety protocols and guidelines in accordance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of excavation sites to identify potential hazards, ensuring that appropriate corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to develop excavation safety plans for each project phase.
- Provide guidance and supervision to contractors and workers involved in excavation activities to ensure compliance with safety measures.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for excavation projects, identifying potential hazards and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Analyze soil conditions, equipment requirements, and site layouts to ensure safe excavation practices are followed.
- Develop and deliver excavation safety training programs for workers, supervisors, and contractors to enhance their understanding of safe practices.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to excavation safety and share this knowledge with the team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of excavation safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
- Generate regular reports detailing excavation safety performance, concerns, and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop emergency response plans specific to excavation incidents and ensure all team members are aware of their roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinate with emergency services and internal response teams to effectively manage excavation-related emergencies.
- Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations related to excavation safety and ensure all activities are in compliance with these requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of necessary permits and documentation required for excavation activities.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers in a safety category.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Excavation Safety Professional (CESP) or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a focus on excavation safety.
