Barista
Job Summary: As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role requires a passion for coffee, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to established recipes and quality standards.
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on individual preferences.
Cash Handling: Process payments accurately and efficiently, handle cash, and operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the coffee bar and seating areas clean and organized, including washing dishes and sanitizing equipment.
Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed, including coffee beans, syrups, and pastries.
Quality Control: Ensure that all beverages are prepared to high standards and adjust brewing techniques as necessary for consistency.
Customer Engagement: Foster a friendly atmosphere by engaging with customers, sharing knowledge about coffee, and creating a sense of community.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure smooth operations and provide assistance as needed.
Training: Assist in training new baristas on beverage preparation, equipment operation, and customer service standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hospitality or food service is a plus.
Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
