Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage and track the company's heavy equipment assets, ensuring they are accounted for and optimally utilized.
- Organize the warehouse layout for efficient storage and retrieval of assets, including heavy equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment rentals, returns, maintenance schedules, and downtime.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of equipment inventories to ensure asset accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Optimize warehouse processes to minimize turnaround times for equipment rentals and returns.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule repairs and preventative maintenance, minimizing equipment downtime.
- Streamline inbound and outbound logistics to improve equipment delivery times and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement procedures for asset tracking and reporting, including asset tagging and real-time tracking technologies.
- Oversee the procurement and disposal of heavy equipment, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure the timely movement of equipment between locations.
- Generate reports on equipment usage, performance, and financial impact to aid decision-making.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets, reducing the risk of loss or theft.
- Collaborate with the finance team to track the financial impact of asset performance and usage.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets related to equipment acquisition, maintenance, and replacement.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies for the management of heavy equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Certification in Asset Management is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in asset management, preferably in the heavy equipment or construction industry.
- Experience with asset tracking software and systems.
- Strong knowledge of heavy equipment types and uses in the rental industry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in asset management software and MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment types, rental operations, and maintenance processes.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory compliance related to heavy equipment.
