Supervisor/Manager: Reports to the Operation / Maintenance Manager
Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems on heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, loaders, and bulldozers.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting, starters, alternators, batteries, and wiring in heavy equipment.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical components to ensure optimal operation.
• Collaborate with mechanics and other technicians to resolve mechanical issues related to electrical faults.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations during all repair and maintenance tasks.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and equipment manuals to perform efficient repairs.
• Test electrical systems using specialized tools to ensure functionality and safety.
• Maintain detailed records of electrical repairs, parts used, and labor hours.
• Assist in the installation of new electrical systems and retrofitting of old systems in equipment when necessary.

Skills & Experience:
Qualifications:

• Technical diploma or certification in electrical engineering, automotive electrical systems, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications for electrical work in heavy equipment are highly preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a heavy equipment electrician.
• Experience with electrical diagnostics and repairs on a wide range of heavy-duty machinery.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and control panels.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and schematics.
