Job Description
To further develop the air export product in the marketplace through focus on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company’s policy and procedures.
Review and support with day-to-day quotations
Support product with checking local charges and agreement quotes to ensure we minimize potential branch losses.
Have thorough knowledge of the air Export product including Breakbulk, Gateway & Pricing knowledge.
Plan and support with huddles and monthly meetings to discuss market intelligence and delegate workloads within the team.
Take an active role in the transition of new business/ updates to existing business.
Grow department Revenue in line with District budget target and management expectations.
Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department.
Be involved and suggest system/process improvements.
Assist the Manager with EPE’s on the department in line with the 3+1 Initiative.
Assist the Manager with key staff with goal setting and monitoring development.
Support the manager as required and applicable in the following areas:
Proactively work to maintain accounts payment within 30 days.
Ensure company credit procedures are followed and utilized effectively.
Manage accounts payable to vendors (airlines, truckers etc.) utilizing BNP.
Manage intercompany accounting discrepancies via AJAX report
Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and in being the role model of integrity and pride for all
employees.
Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.
Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings.
Qualifications
Global logistics industry knowledge
Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
Fluent in English
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
4 years of industry specific knowledge
Graduate of IATA/FIATA introductory course (preferred)
