Role overview:
The UKI Infrastructure and Platform team provide core services to our product and technology teams to enable them to have delivery and execution independence. As a Platform Engineer in the Platform Experience team, your role is crucial for maintaining and evolving the organization's technology infrastructure too enhance our customers enablement. Responsibilities include platform development and maintenance, system monitoring and optimization, capacity planning, automation, security and compliance, support and incident management.
You will provide internal platforms and tooling to the wider business, including CI/CD tooling and Event Streaming. The team also owns and provides automation for third-party Saa S products, such as Git Hub and Confluent Cloud. You will be responsible for enabling customers to consume these services, while implementing appropriate guardrails and automation.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

Demonstrates Good Knowledge of Infrastructure & Platforms Systems: Applies comprehensive understanding of group engineering systems management as key responsibility involves contributing to designs, implementing, and maintaining the Flutter UKI platform infrastructure. This includes both the development of new platforms and the enhancement of existing ones to meet evolving business needs.

Automation Contributor: Actively seeks and implements automation solutions and practices to reduce reliance on manual processes, and promotes self service

Mentorship: Act as a mentor to peers in the squad, actively sharing knowledge and teaching skills.

Configuration Management (Chef, Ansible)

Aptitude for evaluating and embracing new technologies and tooling.

Experience with Apache Kafka, Confluent or other event streaming technologies is desirable

Experience with managing high-load, high-performance applications

AWS experience supporting cloud native infrastructure through tooling and automation.
